The cookbooks in this collection date from 1912 to 2014. They are arranged by county and then alphabetically by the original creator of the cookbook. The collection has cookbooks from DeKalb, Lake, LaSalle, and McHenry counties. The bulk of the cookbooks were created by organizations throughout the northern Illinois region as a way to compile recipes and stories from its members. The Joseph C. Llewellyn Company Collection consists of linen drawings for the DeKalb County Infirmary, DeKalb County Jail and Sheriff's Residence in Sycamore, DeKalb Township High School including a 1921 addition, Ellwood School, and the club house for the Kishwaukee Country Club.
Included in the collection are specifications, receipts, contractual agreements, correspondence, and photographs for the six sets of drawings.
